Selling your Tesla, step by step
Selling a Tesla privately can take weeks of messages, viewings and test drives. Selling to us takes days, and there are no fees at any stage.
Get your free valuation
Enter your reg and mileage in the valuation form, call free on 0800 206 2208, or send the details and a few photos on WhatsApp. Tell us the battery health and range on a full charge, any Autopilot, FSD or software upgrades, the charging kit included, tyre condition, warranty remaining and any damage.
Your offer, held for 7 days
We come back with a price. There is no pressure to accept on the spot: your offer is held for seven days while you think it over.
Free collection
Once you are happy, we agree a time to collect the car from your home, workplace or business premises. Collection is free, including for damaged cars and non-runners.
Paid the same day
We check the car matches the description and the paperwork is in order, then pay you by bank transfer before we drive away. If there is outstanding finance, we settle it with your lender and pay you the balance. No fees are deducted.
What you will need
- The V5C registration document
- Photo ID such as a driving licence or passport
- All key cards and key fobs, and the car removed from your Tesla app account
- Charging cables and any wall charger you are including
- Any service records, and the finance settlement figure if there is finance outstanding
